As TBM fleet grows Socata North America increases its TBM Service
Center network by adding two facilities in Memphis area.
Oshkosh, Wisconsin, July 28th, 2011: DAHER-SOCATA announces the appointment of the Total Air Group, to serve as TBM Service Center for Memphis, Tennessee, being the 16th TBM Service Center in North America.
As a FAA Part 145 Service Center qualified from single piston to commercial airliners, Total Air Group was originally formed as Tunica Air Group in September 2006 in Tunica, Mississipi, by FedEx Aircraft Mechanics with Michael C. Silvius and Robert Polly.
The company grew from six Aircraft Mechanics to a work force of twenty
employees. Now with 2 Certified Repair Station locations, one at Tunica
airport and the second at Wilson Air Center, in Memphis, TN. Both facilities are qualified as Part 145 Service Centers for TBM 700 & 850.
We’re glad to welcome a fast-growing company leaded by highly skilled professionals to our TBM Service Network.” said Nicolas Chabbert, the President of SOCATA North America. “With the expansion of the TBM fleet, we need to have more service bases to better serve our customers and Total Air Group is exactly the kind of partner we’re pleased to work with.” He added.
We’re particularly proud to become MidSouth’s DAHER-SOCATA Service Center of such an exciting aircraft as the TBM Very Fast Turboprop aircraft.” commented Michael C. Silvius, CEO of Total Air Group. “ As we know how important customer satisfaction is, we perfectly know we can bring this type of service to TBM customers".
As little note Total Air Group is the Service Center of Mr. Wei Chen, the
Chinese American Pilot who is just back from his around-the-world trip.
The TBM 850 is the world’s fastest single-engine turboprop, with a maximum cruise speed of 320 KTAS at 26,000 ft. (in ISA conditions). An 850-shp version of SOCATA’s proven six-seat TBM 700 turboprop business aircraft, the TBM 850 combines the cruise speed and travel times typical of light jets with economical direct operating costs, while offering the range and excellent payload capacity of turboprop aircraft.
