Geneva, Switzerland, May 13, 2012 –– DAHER-SOCATA will display the new TBM 850 Elite version of its very fast turboprop aircraft at the European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE), to be held May 14-16 at Geneva International Airport's Palexpo exhibit center.

Mayer added that DAHER-SOCATA also will have a special focus this year on the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), where the TBM 850 recently was certified – opening a market with many new business opportunities for the aircraft.

The Model Year 2012 TBM 850 Elite was unveiled in March at the U.S. SUN 'N FUN International Fly-In & Expo, and made its European debut at AERO Friedrichshafen in April.

Among the aircraft's key attributes is its unique capability to tailor the passenger cabin to meet operators' needs. The middle seats can be oriented in forward-facing position while the rear seats are removable. In about 30 minutes, the TBM 850 can be reconfigured in a four-seat cabin, increasing the luggage volume capacity by three and doubling the maximum luggage weight.

Other features incorporated by DAHER-SOCATA in the TBM 850 Elite are new carbon fiber edging (used in the central upper panel, table cover exterior insert and cabinet door cover), along with gold and brush metal treatment on interior fittings.

Two new avionics options also are offered on the aircraft: a long-range KHF 1050 HF radio, and Garmin's full-featured GSR 56 Iridium satellite transceiver – a particularly attractive option outside North America, as Iridium offers a worldwide coverage. This gives access to quality on-demand weather information, text/voice communications and near real-time positioning.

Moreover, DAHER-SOCATA has extended its Exclusive Maintenance Program to cover scheduled maintenance costs for the original retail customer through the aircraft's fifth annual inspection, or up to 1,000 total flight hours – whichever comes first.

The TBM 850 is the world's fastest single-engine turboprop, with a maximum cruise speed of 320 KTAS at 26,000 ft. (in ISA conditions). As an 850-shp. version of DAHER-SOCATA's proven six-seat TBM 700 turboprop business aircraft, the TBM 850 combines cruise speeds and travel times typical of light jets with the economical direct operating costs of a turboprop, along with excellent range and payload capacity.

Since its 2005 launch, the TBM 850 has become an international success – with more 261 aircraft delivered as of March 31, 2012. The combined TBM 700 and TBM 850 fleet now stands at 585 units worldwide.

TBM850 Certified in (CIS): The Interstate Aviation Committee's approval opens the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) business aviation market to the very fast turboprop

Tarbes, France, May 9, 2012 –DAHER-SOCATA today announced the certification of its TBM 850 very fast turboprop aircraft family in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), including Russia.

“This milestone recognizes the quality of our aircraft and the work of DAHER-SOCATA's team in conjunction with the CIS aviation authorities – who are known to be demanding in their certification process, especially for operations in extreme weather conditions,” explained Nicolas Chabbert, DAHER-SOCATA's Senior Vice President - Airplane Division.

He said the certification will lead to DAHER-SOCATA's increased focus in the CIS, where business aviation markets are going beyond stability to a situation of growth.

Friedrichshafen, Germany, April 18, 2012 –DAHER-SOCATA and its Rheinland Air Service distributor for Germany and Austria are presenting the new TBM 850 Elite version of the very fast turboprop aircraft at this week's AERO Friedrichshafen general aviation exhibition, being held at Friedrichshafen Airport through April 22.

The TBM 850 Elite was announced last month at the U.S. Sun'N'Fun Air Show, and is making its European debut at AERO Friedrichshafen. Socata North America: Scott Ross and Kam Phongsavath are honored for 20 years of loyalty and service

Pembroke Pines, Florida, April 15, 2012 –SOCATA North America has honored the two most senior employees at DAHER-SOCATA's U.S. subsidiary, celebrating their careers that span more than 20 years of service.

The two employees are Kam Phongsavath, who is SOCATA North America's Director of Quality Control; and Scott Ross, Shop Manager at the company's Repair Station. The combination of their careers is equal to the total time of SOCATA's 40 years in the United States, which began with the sales and marketing of the Rallye Minerva general aviation aircraft in 1972.

Phongsavath joined SOCATA North America from the U.S. Air Force, while Ross came to the company with a degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology from Texas Aerotech.

SOCATA North America traces its roots to 1977 when Rallye Aircraft Corp. was created in the state of New York, becoming Aerospatiale General Aviation at Grand Prairie, Texas, in 1987. These operations handled the U.S. sales and support center responsibilities for all SOCATA aircraft in the market. After deliveries of the first TBM 700 in 1991, the activity grew rapidly and more persons were hired.

SOCATA North America traces its roots to 1977 when Rallye Aircraft Corp. was created in the state of New York, becoming Aerospatiale General Aviation at Grand Prairie, Texas, in 1987. These operations handled the U.S. sales and support center responsibilities for all SOCATA aircraft in the market. After deliveries of the first TBM 700 in 1991, the activity grew rapidly and more persons were hired.

G500 Retrofit: DAHER-SOCATA delivers the first G500-retrofitted TB 20 aircraft to France's ENAC national aviation school and signs an Educational Partnership

Tarbes, France, 4 April 2012 –Stéphane Mayer, CEO of DAHER-SOCATA, and Nicolas Chabbert, handed over the keys of the first DAHER-SOCATA TB 20 Trinidad training aircraft modernized with Garmin G500 avionics to Marc Houlla, director of France's Ecole Nationale de l'Aviation Civile (ENAC) national aviation school.

The plane delivered is the first of a fleet of 37 TB 20 Trinidad to be retrofitted.

The contract for DAHER-SOCATA's modernization of ENAC's TB 20 fleet was signed last year at the Paris Air Show, and includes installation of a Garmin G500 integrated avionics suite, two GNS 430W combined communication-navigation systems, a Garmin GAD 43 digital autopilot and numerous additional options. The G500 avionics suite selected by ENAC features a 6.5-inch primary flight display (PFD) and multifunction display (MFD), along with an attitude/heading reference system (AHRS), Garmin's Synthetic Vision Technology (SVT™) software, and Jeppesen Chartview option.

ENAC Director Marc Houalla said the first modernized TB 20 delivery marks a milestone in the school's historical partnership with DAHER-SOCATA, and represents a further step toward the enhancement of its aircraft fleet. “With a modern ‘glass cockpit' configuration on our TB 20 aircraft, we will be able to better prepare our student pilots for their future careers in the aviation environment of today and tomorrow,” Houalla added.

TBM-MMA: This capability for DAHER-SOCATA's TBM very fast turboprop family will be exhibited at Morocco's 2012 Marrakesh Air Show

Marrakech, Morocco, April 4, 2012 –The TBM-MMA multi-mission configuration for DAHER-SOCATA's TBM very fast turboprop family will be shown for the first time in Africa with the aircraft's appearance at the 2012 Marrakesh Air Show.

To be exhibited during the April 4-7 event at Marrakesh Airport's Royal Moroccan Air Force Base is the TBM-MMA demonstrator platform, which is a modified TBM 700B version.

The TBM-MMA offers a range of mission capabilities, including intelligence, reconnaissance and surveillance, along with medical airlift and liaison. The capability is available for new-production TBM 850s, as well as for retrofit on the earlier TBM 700s.

This year's Marrakesh Air Show provides an excellent opportunity to present the TBM-MMA for Africa, where the multi-role aircraft is perfectly tailored as a highly affordable, cost-effective multi-mission airborne platform for both security and governmental operators,” said Nicolas Chabbert, Senior Vice President of the DAHER-SOCATA Airplane Division. “It is based on the proven TBM very fast turboprop aircraft product line – which has an excellent operational and maintenance record, especially in service with the French armed forces."

In its intelligence, reconnaissance and surveillance (ISR) configuration – which is being shown at the Marrakesh Air Show – the TBM-MMA is outfitted with a gyro-stabilized multi-sensor turret located under the aircraft's aft fuselage. This electrically-driven system is fully-retractable, and accommodates up to four latest-generation sensors, including infrared and electro-optical systems, along with a laser rangefinder and a laser designator to mark targets.

Control of the turret is performed from inside the cabin with a portable operator's console that displays video images and also handles signal processing. A data recording function is available for the processing of sensor information, which can be performed aboard the aircraft or downlinked to an operational ground control station via a data transmission system.

For medical evacuation missions, the TBM-MMA is equipped with a stretcher and patient loader system, with the ability for rapid cabin reconfiguration to passenger seats for liaison duties.

The TBM-MMA is well suited for armed forces, governmental agencies and contract operators, providing a capable, efficient answer to needs as diverse as urban security, the fight against trafficking and pollution, border and coastal surveillance, aerial detection of forest fires, MEDEVAC and other applications.

The first TBM-MMA was delivered by DAHER-SOCATA last year to Argentina's PSA (Policía de Seguridad Aeroportuaria) airport security police law enforcement agency that protects and guards the country's national public airports. The PSA's TBM-MMA is actively performing its missions, and includes the medical evacuation capability with a quick-change installation for a stretcher.

DAHER-SOCATA's TBM 850 is the world's fastest single-engine turboprop, with a maximum cruise speed of 320 KTAS at 26,000 ft. (in ISA conditions). Both the TBM 850 and the company's TBM 700 combine the cruise speed and travel times typical of light jets with economical direct operating costs, while offering the range and excellent payload capacity of turboprop aircraft.

Lakeland, Florida, March 30, 2012 –As 2012 Sun'N'Fun International Fly-In & Expo will fold its wings this week-end, DAHER-SOCATA announced the sale of a brand-new TBM 850 to Dr. Bruce Feldstein of New Hampshire. The sale contract was won by Ken Dono, Director of Sales at Columbia Aircraft Sales, TBM distributor for the northeastern USA.

This is the first time we have sold a TBM 850 during Sun'n Fun, which is the first show of the season in North America, It's a wonderful conclusion for our participation to the show and an encouraging sign of the market.” explained Nicolas Chabbert, the Senior Vice-President of DAHER-SOCATA Airplane Division and President of SOCATA North America. “I want to welcome Mr. Feldstein in the TBM family and thank the sales team and Columbia in particular”, he concluded.

DAHER-SOCATA's TBM 850 is world's fastest single engine turboprop aircraft, with a maximum cruising speed of 320 KTAS at 26,000 ft. It combines typical cruising speed and travel times of light jets with economical direct operating costs, range and excellent payload of turboprop aircraft.

DAHER-SOCATA has extended in 2012 its Exclusive Maintenance Program to cover scheduled maintenance costs for the original retail customer through the aircraft's fifth annual inspection, or up to 1,000 total flight hours – whichever comes first.

During this month's air show at the Chilean capital city's Arturo Merino Benítez Airport, DAHER-SOCATA is announcing the introduction of its Elite – the TBM 850's 2012 version that offers a host of new features aimed at improving comfort and flexibility. The TBM 850 Elite's most distinctive attribute is the capability of its middle seats to be positioned in either the rearward or forward-facing position. This new configuration provides extended cargo space to accommodate outsized baggage.

“Our TBM 850 Elite offers cabin flexibility that creates a key advantage, especially for South American operators, and builds on the very fast turboprop's outstanding cost/performance ratio,” explained Nicolas Chabbert, Senior Vice-President of the DAHER-SOCATA Airplane Division. Chabbert noted that significant market growth across Argentina, Brazil and Chile has been seen during the past three years. “In 2011, South America represented 10 percent of our sales, and 25 TBM 700s/TBM850s are now based in the region,” Chabbert added. “Therefore, we expect the new Elite version to attract new customers.”

In a forward-facing arrangement configured for four passengers, the TBM 850 Elite's two rear seats are removed to create immediate and obstacle-free access to all luggage areas. For missions with multiple pieces of baggage, a small cargo net compliments the normal internal baggage compartment by providing additional space. Long, bulkyitems such as golf bags can be secured by using a large cargo net, which essentially unites the rear baggage compartment and the extended baggage area. Other new features for the Elite incorporated in DAHER-SOCATA's 2012 Model Year TBM 850 includes new carbon-fiber trim (used in the central upper panel, table cover exterior insert and cabinet door cover), along with gold and brush metal treatment on interior fittings. Two new avionics options also are offered on the aircraft: a long-range KHF 1050HF radio and Garmin's full-featured GSR 56 Iridium satellite transceiver, which give access to quality on-demand weather information, text/voice communications and near real-time positioning information. Moreover, DAHER-SOCATA has extended its Exclusive Maintenance Program to cover scheduled maintenance costs for the original retail customer through the aircraft's fifth annual inspection, or up to 1,000 total flight hours – whichever comes first. Additional benefits available to TBM 850 Elite customers include an avionics system warranty extension to five years for all Garmin equipment, as well as the L3 Avionics Stormscope WX500, and Honeywell's traffic advisory system, KRA405 radar altimeter and distance measuring equipment.
